| Servants of Christ 1 Corinthians 4:1-5 1/11/2026 Occupations (1 Samuel 2) A Manager of the Mysteries of God A mystery, as used in the NT, is that which was hidden in the past and may only be known through God’s divine revelation. (2 Timothy 3:16-17) (2 Timothy 2:15) Timeless truth: A servant’s job is not to concern himself with pleasing anyone but his master. A Servant of Christ must be Faithful Christ’s servants must be unswervingly loyal and obedient to Him, no matter the era or circumstances in which we live. We must be faithful, even unto death! A Servant of Christ is accountable to Christ Alone As Christians we are constantly being judged. First, there is other people’s judgment (v3). Next, there is our own judgment – self-judgment (v3-4). Finally, there is the Lord’s judgment, which is the truly important judgment (v4-5). (Romans. 14:10; 2 Corinthians. 5:10) The only evaluation that really matters is the one which God will perform. Only God can reveal the motives of our heart. (1 Corinthians 10:31) Let’s leave the final exam to God. |
